Every time you put a dirty mitt back on the paint, you drag grit across it. The two-bucket method stops that.
- Rinse the car to remove loose dirt
- Fill one bucket with shampoo and one with clean water
- Wash one panel at a time, top to bottom
- Rinse the mitt in the clean bucket before putting it back in the shampoo
- Dry with a soft, clean drying towel
Never wash in direct sunlight: the shampoo dries on the paint and leaves marks.
